For sea kayaking, the peninsula’s intricate coastline—stretching over 200 km—offers stunning views at every turn.
If you snorkel in the ocean, you can see many semi-tropical fish brought by the Kuroshio Current (also known as the Black Current).
We are happy to introduce you to Japanese culture, the ocean, and its unique marine life through kayaking.
Our Service
SURFACE Kayak Guide Service provides guided sea kayaking tours with English-speaking guides who are well-versed in the Izu area.
We welcome a wide range of guests, from first-time paddlers to experienced kayakers.

In 2002–03, he completed a full circumnavigation of Japan by sea kayak—spending 364 days on the water and paddling over 7,600 km along the entire coastline.
After this journey, he founded SURFACE Kayak Guide Service.
